When does the horse suffer from accumulated sand?
This is easy to test by filling half a bucket with water and adding 5 to 6 manure balls. Let the bucket stand for an hour and then check the contents. If there is more than 1 teaspoon of sand at the bottom of the bucket, the horse has ingested too much sand. The advice is to give the horse Zand-Weg.
Feeding advice
Horse up to 450 kg: 100 g per day for 6 days.
Horse over 450 kg: 200 g per day for 6 days.
